Indians Hold Off Angels

(Cleveland, OH)  --  Jose Ramirez blasted a three-run first-inning homer as the Indians held on to beat the Angels 4-3 in Cleveland.  Shane Bieber worked into the sixth and allowed two runs to earn the victory.

Brad Hand yielded a run in the ninth before picking up the save.  The Indians have won four of five.

Angels starter Deck McGuire retired only one of seven batters he faced and absorbed the loss.  Shohei Ohtan, Kole Calhoun and Andrelton Simmons each had two hits and drove in a Los Angeles run.  The Angels have lost six of seven.

The homestand continues for the Tribe Monday night with the first of four against the second-place Minnesota Twins.  Trevor Bauer will take the mound for the Indians at 7:10 p.m. on WTAM 1100 and 100.7 WMMS.
