Fugitives Of The Week: John Shear And Troy Roop

The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force is offering a reward for information which would lead to the capture of fugitives John Shear and Troy Roop. Shear and Roop are wanted by the U.S. Marshals Service and the Ohio Adult Parole Authority for Parole Violations. Shear’s original conviction is for Involuntary Manslaughter and Roop’s original conviction is for Aggravated Assault. Shear is also wanted by the Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Office for Aggravated Vehicular Assault, Receiving Stolen Vehicle, Vandalism, Criminal Damaging and Capias for failing to appear on Drug Trafficking Charges. Roop is also wanted by the Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Office for Aggravated Robbery and Capias for failing to appear on Drug Trafficking Charges.

Shear, 37, is a white male, standing approximately 5 feet 10 inches and weighing 230 pounds. Shear’s last known address is near the 2100 block of West 81st Street, Cleveland. 

Roop, 46, is a white male, standing approximately 6 feet tall and weighing 187 pounds. Roop’s last known address was in the 3100’s block of West 88th Street, Cleveland.  It is believed that  Shear and Roop are hiding together and are known to frequent Cleveland’s Westside, including Storer Ave, Denison Ave, West 54TH St, West 61ST St and the 3300 block of Roehl Ave. Shear and Roop both have a very lengthy criminal history and should be considered armed and dangerous.
