Christmas In July At Crocker Park

posted by Kyle Cornell -

Westlake - The Christmas spirit is in full swing at Crocker Park! July 25th marks exactly five months until Christmas and to bring some holiday spirit this week, the park is celebrating in several ways.

Crocker Park is thrilled to release details for their annual Tree Lighting Ceremony taking place Saturday, November 17 from 5pm-7:30pm. To help light the 50-foot Christmas tree located in center circle, Crocker Park is pleased to welcome Phoebe from Nickelodeon’s hit television series, “Thundermans”, Kira Kosarin! Kira will take the stage at 7pm to perform some of her favorite songs and help us welcome in Santa! Leading up to the big performance and lighting, a great lineup of holiday entertainers will be taking the stage spreading holiday cheer.

“Our signature Holiday Tree Lighting in the heart of Crocker Park is the perfect way to kick off the holiday season,” said Dan Crandall, Director of Marketing at Crocker Park. “We are looking forward to welcoming the talented Kira Kosarin to our event in November to help us start the season in a memorable way!”

To start the celebration now, Bonefish Grille is kicking off the fun tomorrow, July 26, with a Christmas in July open house party at their restaurant on 1900 Crocker Rd. from 6pm-8pm. Enjoy the holiday spirit with themed drinks and appetizers, all are welcome to this free event. RSVP to Michele Harrison at (813) 373-1365.

Following Bonefish Grille’s open house celebration, Movies in the Park, a weekly summer program presented by Lakewood Catholic Academy and St. Edward High School, will be showing the holiday classic, “Elf” beginning at dusk. The movie is shown outdoors in Crocker Commons located next to Market Square. Bring your family, friends and a blanket to enjoy this great film and treat yourself to some Graeter’s ice cream who will be on site selling scoops and sundaes; the perfect movie treat.

Playhouse Square will also begin offering pre-sale tickets to their highly anticipated “Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer” production on December 7-8 with proceeds going to charity with a special discounted link. You can purchase yours by visiting https://groupmatics.events/group/CrockerParkPSQ.
