Bauer, Indians End Pirates Hot Streak 4-0

CLEVELAND-Trevor Bauer's 9-6 record doesn't do justice as to why he is a Cy Young candiate. Against a red-hot Pirates team, Baurer struck-out 10 over seven innings which led to a 4-0 victory against the Pittsburgh Pirates which ended a 11 game win streak.

Bauer only allowed two hits as the Indians became alive offensively starting with an Edwin Encaracion 2-run single line drive in the 3rd.

Then in the 8th, Yonder Alonso homered in the 8th and Brad Hand recorded his first save in an Indians uniform and 25th overall.

Indians are off tomorrow before they travel to Detroit to begin a three game series against the Tigers. Carlos Carrasco (12-5, 4.03) will start against Mike Fiers (7-6, 3.49) on Friday night. You can listen to first pitch right here on Newsradio WTAM 1100 at 7:10pm.
