Pirates Blast Indians 7-0 In Rain-Shortened Game

(Cleveland, OH)  --  The Pirates cruised past the Indians 7-0 in a rain-shortened game at Progressive Field.  The game was called after six innings.  

Trevor Williams worked all six frames for the Bucs to earn the win.  Josh Harrison hit a three-run homer, while Starling Marte and Gregory Polanco had two RBI apiece in the winning effort.  The Pirates have won 10 straight for the first time since 2004.  

Corey Kluber surrendered seven runs, but only three earned, over four innings to take the loss.  

The Indians fell to 54-and-45 but still hold an eight-and-a-half game lead in the AL Central race.

The Tribe and Bucs square off again Tuesday night at Progressive Field.  Shane Bieber starts for Cleveland,m and Joe Musgrove for Pittsburgh.  First pitch at 7:10.  Hear the game on WTAM 1100 and 100.7 WMMS.
