(Cleveland) - Funeral services for Cleveland Police Officer Vu Nguyen are Thursday. The officer's remains will be taken from Chambers Funeral Home on Rocky River Drive to Our Lady of Angels church via a route through the Cleveland Metroparks Rocky River Reservation.
After the funeral, burial will be at Lakewood Park Cemetery in Rocky River, and the procession will go through Fairview Park and into Rocky River.
People are being asked to line up along the funeral procession route in support of Officer Nguyen, who died after collapsing during an endurance test.
Funeral Home to Church, between 10 and 11 a.m.
Exit Chambers Funeral Home onto Rocky River Dr (southbound)
Turn Right (W/B) onto Puritas Ave. take Puritas Ave. into the Metro Parks near Grayton Rd.
Turn Right (N/B) onto Valley Parkway, take Valley Parkway to Hogsback Lane.
Turn Right (E/B) onto Hogsback Lane take Hogsback Lane to Riverside Dr.
Turn Right (S/B) onto Riverside Dr., near Ogontz Ave. Riverside Dr. becomes Rocky River Dr.
Take Rocky River Dr. to Our Lady of Angels Church.
Church to Cemetery, between 12 and 1 p.m.
Route From Our Lady of Angels Church to Lakewood Park Cemetery.
South on Rocky River Dr. from the Church.
Turn Right (W/B) onto Lorain Ave.
Take Lorain Ave. to W. 210.
Turn Right (N/B) onto W. 210 take W. 210 (turns into Wagar Rd at Center Ridge) to Westway Dr.
Turn Left (W/B) onto Westway Dr. take Westway Dr. to Detroit Rd.
Turn Left (W/B) onto Detroit Rd to Lakewood Park Cemetery 22025 Detroit Rd. turn left into cemetery.
