(Akron) - LeBron James' hometown newspaper is launching an effort to get him to stay with the Cavaliers.
In a full-page ad in Thursday's paper, the Akron Beacon Journal is saying they don't want Akron's favorite son to leave the Cavaliers for another team.
To convince LeBron, and to invite readers to enter a contest, they filled the ad with images of Akron, including the skyline, and LeBron looking at some images of Akron, including the Wingfoot One airship, Zippy the Kangaroo, a Swenson's Galley Boy hamburger, and even LeBron as a teenager in his St. Vincent-St. Mary High School uniform.
The paper is asking readers to come up with their own reasons why Lebron should stay in Northeast Ohio.

"We hope LeBron James decides to stay. We wish for it, we even, sometimes, dare to trust in it, knowing how deep his loyalty and connection to Northeast Ohio runs...But we also know that we can't demand it -- or even expect it," writes our editorial board. https://t.co/HdiAdBmq3e— clevelanddotcom (@clevelanddotcom) June 21, 2018

"Iguodala to Curry, back to Iguodala, up for the layup."
"Oh, blocked by James! LeBron James with the rejection!"
Happy Anniversary, Cleveland.
