(Fairview Park) - What seems to be an attempt at a smash-and-grab happened early Wednesday morning at a convenience store in Fairview Park
About 4 a.m., a red minivan was backed into the front door of the Circle K store on Lorain Road at West 202. It took out the entire front door, and was stuck in the front entrance.
Witnesses told WTAM 1100 that there was a heavy police, fire and EMS presence at the store, which is open 24 hours.
Fairview Park Police have not confirmed officially that it was a smash-and-grab attempt, but an ATM is located near the front of the store, and police at the scene told a WTAM listener that it had the makings of a smash-and-grab.

ATM firmly stuck underneath this van that is inside the Circle K at West 202nd and Lorain in Fairview Park. No info on suspects. I really hope we aren't going to start the smash and grab madness again. pic.twitter.com/Z8MZWQS2tD— Mike Vielhaber (@MVielhaber) June 20, 2018
How entrenched in your morning routine do you have to be to see two tow trucks trying to pull a van out of a store and still pull in next to a fire truck and 3 police cars to ask if you can still get coffee. I've seen 3 people do it so far... pic.twitter.com/vPoMJGy1Of— Mike Vielhaber (@MVielhaber) June 20, 2018
