(Parma, OH) -- A recent outbreak of a deadly dog respiratory illness in Cuyahoga County is forcing a shelter to take precautions. Parma Animal Shelter officials closed their dog kennel yesterday to the public to help stop the illness from spreading to animals outside the shelter. The illness killed five dogs from the Cuyahoga County Animal Shelter over the past three weeks. That shelter and the Cleveland City Kennel stepped up their cleaning after the deaths.
