(Cleveland) -- The annual invasion of midges is underway along the Lake Erie shore. Thousands of the insects hatched and made their way onshore early yesterday, sticking to buildings and other solid objects. Northeast Ohio health officials say the bugs don't bite, but serve an important role as fish food and a sign of a healthy Lake Erie.
