Tribe Sweeps White Sox

(Cleveland, OH)  --  Corey Kluber struck out 10 across six innings of shutout ball as the Indians clobbered the White Sox 9-1 in Cleveland.

Melky Cabrera had three RBI to back Kluber, who yielded just three-hits to run his mark to 8-and-2.  Edwin Encarnacion and Jose Ramirez homered as the Tribe won its fifth straight.    The Indians are four and a half games ahead of second-place Detroit.

Chicago starter Reynaldo Lopez surrendered seven runs in less than three innings to take the loss.

Yolmer Sanchez prevented the shutout with a solo shot in the ninth.  The White Sox are on a four-game slide.

The Indians start a one-city road trip Thursday with the first of four against the Twins in Minnesota.  Shane Bieber will take the mound for the Indians Thursday in his Major League debut.  Jake Odorizzi will start for the Twins.  First pitch at 8:10 p.m. on 100.7 WMMS.
