Indians Top White Sox

(Cleveland, OH)  --  Michael Brantley, Jose Ramirez and Jason Kipnis each hit solo homers as the Indians powered past the White Sox 7-3 at Progressive Field.  Brantley and Ramirez both had two RBI and scored twice for the Tribe.  

Mike Clevinger held Chicago to one run while pitching into the seventh inning to improve to 4-and-2.  Lucas Giolito fell to 3-and-6, allowing five runs on nine hits in six frames.  

Daniel Palka was 2-for-4 with a homer and two runs scored for the Sox.  

Cleveland has won four in-a-row and six of its last eight games.  Chicago has lost three in-a-row and five-of-six.

The Indians go for the series sweep on Wednesday afternoon.  Corey Kluber goes for win number 8 on the season.  Reynaldo Lopez starts for Chicago.  First pitch at 1:10 p.m. on WTAM 1100.
