Bay Village Police Blotter: This Guy Couldn't Wait For Uber

On 05/28/2018, at 07:16 hrs, officers were dispatched to a report of a disoriented female walking north on Cahoon Road from Osborn Road. Officers found and arrested an intoxicated 34-year old female from Lakewood. Once at the station she was processed and held until deemed sober, before being released. She was issued a minor misdemeanor citation for Disorderly Conduct/Intoxication.

On 05/26/2018, at 16:19 hrs, a Bay Village resident called to report three young looking males in the area of Longbeach acting suspiciously. One appeared to be in possession of a female handbag. Officers were dispatched and did locate the group. The two adults were eventually arrested for possession of stolen property. Additionally each was found to have warrants from two separate agencies. The juvenile male from North Olmsted was released to his grandmother once she arrived on scene. The two adults are currently in the Bay Village jail awaiting appearance before a judge or magistrate.

On 05/26/2018, at 01:53 hrs, an officer on patrol observed a silver Jaguar west bound on Lake Road turn south bound onto Dover Center Road. The Jaguar went off the right side of the roadway, striking the curb, before continuing south. Once stopped the officer engaged the driver in conversation and subsequently suspected the 40-year old male from Strongsville to be under the influence of alcohol. After failing field sobriety tests, he was arrested for OVI. While being transported to the station the male commented how he had an Uber driver lined up, but instead cancelled and drove himself. After processing, he was released on personal bond to a sober adult.
