Astros Sink Tribe To Take Rubber Match

(Houston, TX)  --  Brian McCann's two-run homer in the seventh gave the Astros all the offense they would need in their 3-1 win over the Indians at Minute Maid Park.  Lance McCullers was lights out, tossing seven shutout, one-hit innings, with eight strikeouts on his way to 6-and-2.

Ken Giles got the final two outs for his eighth save.  Carlos Carrasco took the tough-luck loss, giving up three runs and pitching into the eighth.

Edwin Encarnacion had the RBI for Cleveland, which dropped back under .500 through 45 games after losing two-of-three in the series.  The 'Stros are 30-and-18.

The Indians resume action on Tuesday as they start a two-game series at Wrigley Field against the Chicago Cubs.  First pitch on Tuesday at 7:05, Wednesday at 8:05.  Tuesday's game is on WTAM 1100 and 100.7 WMMS, while Wednesday's is on WMMS.
