Indians Take Down Cubs, Split Series

(Cleveland)  --  Brandon Guyer, Francisco Lindor and Edwin Encarnacion each hit solo homers to help the Indians beat the Cubs 4-1 at Progressive Field.  

Trevor Bauer held Chicago to four hits and one run while pitching into the seventh inning.  He struck out eight on his way to 2-and-2.  Cody Allen earned his fifth save.  

Cleveland split in the short two-game series.  

Jon Lester was tagged with his first loss, giving up all three homers in seven frames.  Anthony Rizzo had the only RBI for Chicago with a single in the fifth.

The Tribe on Thursday begins a four-game series hosting Seattle.  Corey Kluber starts for the Indians, and Erasmo Ramirez takes the hill for the Mariners.  First pitch at 6:10 p.m. Hear the game on WTAM 1100 and 100.7 WMMS.
