The Cleveland Indians received seven strong innings from right-hander Carlos Carrasco and a critical two-run home run from Yonder Alonso to top the Baltimore Orioles 2-1 on Monday evening at Camden Yards.

It was the Tribe's third-straight win. Carrasco improved to 4-0 on the season and is currently sporting an ERA of 2.31. The first place Indians got their only runs of the night when Alonso ripped a 2-run homer in the second inning. It would be all the Indians needed as Carrasco, Andrew Miller and Cody Allen combined to shut down the birds offense.

The Indians currently own a two game lead over the Minnesota Twins for first place in the AL-Central Division.

The Tribe returns to action on Tuesday evening at Progressive Field when they host the Chicago Cubs for the start of a quick two-game series. It will be the Cubs first appearance at Progressive Field since the two clubs met in the 2016 World Series.
