CLEVELAND -- Josh Tomlin went five scoreless innings and the Indians got home runs from Jose Ramirez and Roberto Perez to power past the Detroit Tigers 2-1 on Tuesday night at Progressive Field. It marked the Tribe's ninth-straight win over the Tigers.
Perez homered in the bottom of the eighth inning to break up a 1-1 tie giving the Indians all the run support they would need to hold off Detroit for their third-straight win.
The Indians and Tigers clash Wednesday evening at Progressive Field with first pitch set for 6:10 pm ET.
