Angels Smashed Indians to end 12 GM Losing Streak

He is known as the "Babe Ruth of Japanese Baseball." When Shohei Ohtani hit his first Major League homer in the first inning in a three run blast off of a struggling Josh Tomlin, the Angels crowd was ready to embrace him as their welcome son.

All of this was part of the struggle for Josh Tomlin who gave up 8 runs on 8 hits in 3 innings played. While Tomlin's performance drew immediate negative attention, the Indians only provided one hit the entire game (Ramirez's first hit of the season in the first).

Not much to discuss on a night where the Angels put in 13 runs and snapped a 12 game Indians losing streak. Below was the Indians Play of the game.

Indians will wrap up this series against the Angels later today with Corey Kluber (0-1) making his 2nd start against Tyler Skaggs in the final game of the west coast swing. Total Tribe Coverage begins at 3pm with the GanleyAuto.com Tribe Insider with Nick Camino, Indians Warm-Up with Rosey at 3:37 and first pitch at 4:07.
