Olmsted Township arson fires under investigation

Bagley Road fire Olmsted Township

(Olmsted Township) - Investigators are trying to determine who set a pair of arson fires on Easter Sunday.  On April 1, the Olmsted Township Fire Department responded to two separate house fires within approximately one hour of each other.

Both fires were investigated jointly by the Olmsted Township Fire Department, Southwest Emergency Response Team: Fire Investigation, and the State Fire Marshal’s Fire and Explosion Investigations Bureau.

At this time, both fires have been ruled as Arson. The location of the fires are: 27054 Bagley Road and 7554 Bronson Road.

Fire Chief Pat Kelly tells Newsradio WTAM an accelerant was used to start both blazes.

He says $7500 in review money is being made available to anyone who provides information leading to an arrest in the case.

If anyone has any information regarding these fires you are encouraged to call the State Fire Marshal’s tip line at 1-800-589-2728. You can also contact Crime Stoppers at 216-252-7463.
