Miami Heat Hot from Downtown, Defeats Cavs 98-79

The Cavs end one streak and continue another streak as they fall to the Miami Heat 98-79. With this loss, the Cavs snapped their five game win streak but they extend their losing streak in Miami to 14. Cavs have not won a game in Miami since January 25, 2010. Below are the stats from their last victory in Miami.

Cavs struggled throughout the game especially from downtown as they were 4 of 26 from three (Miami was 9 of 29). Cavs started the game on the wrong foot as Kevin Love was elbow in the mouth by Jordan Mickey. 

From there, Cavs were in chase mode all game as the Heat had a 17-2 scoring run from the end of the 1st into the 2nd quarter and was down by as many as 23 points. 

Thanks to LeBron James, Jose Calderon, Rodney Hood and Jordan Clarkson, the Cavs got to within 11 points midway through the 4th quarter. But the Miami Heat thanks to James Johnson and Josh Richardson who scored 15 points each and Kelly Olynyk's 19 points off the bench. 

The Cavs fall to 44-30 and the Heat improve to 40-35. Cleveland will play again tomorrow night against the Charlotte Hornets with a 7pm tip time. This will be the Cavs' first back-to-back since February 22nd-23rd.
