Browns Great Joe Thomas Ends Career

(Berea) - The end of an era in Cleveland Browns football was made official Monday afternoon in Berea. Left Tackle Joe Thomas met the media where he announced his retirement in front of a packed Casey Coleman Field House.

Thomas made the Pro Bowl ten times during a sterling eleven year career with the Cleveland Browns.  He was the third selection of the 2007 National Football League out of Wisconsin and played nearly 10,400 consecutive snaps before a triceps injury ended his season late in the 2017 campaign.

Thomas is a sure-fire selection to the Pro Football Hall Of Fame in Canton.  He says he will take a year or so off to relax and see what his future may hold.

It is believed Thomas could land as a football analyst on one of the television networks.  Thomas thanked Cleveland Browns fans for their passion and for teaching him what it meant to be a 'Clevelander'.
