Berea-Midpark Students March For Florida Victims

(Berea) - About three hundred students walked out of class and held a march Wednesday morning in memory of the 14 students and staff members who were shot and killed February 14 at Marjory Stoneman-Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida.

Student organizers read the names of each victim of the Valentine's day massacre in Florida which was then followed by a thirty second moment of silence and a march through Berea-Midpark's campus.

March organizer, Senior student Ben Collipy, says he feels safe when at school but he admits a potential tragedy is always in the back of his head.  Students braved chilly conditions to keep the memories of those who were killed in Parkland alive and bring awareness to gun violence.
