(Kent) -- Actor Michael Keaton will be receiving an honorary degree from Kent State University. Eric Mansfield, Executive Director of University Media Relations, said a degree of Doctor of Humane Letters be given to Keaton for his extraordinary contributions to film performance. The Oscar-nominated and Golden Globe-winning actor attended Kent State in the early 1970's with a major in journalism and speech before deciding to pursue acting.
