(Sandusky) - An investigation is underway in Erie County, as 5 people suffered minor injuries when a large air ventilation duct fell from the ceiling into a pool at Kalahari Waterpark Resort.
One of those injured was reportedly a lifeguard, the duct is about 3 feet in diameter.
Kalahari released the following statement.
"We are aware of the situation and take the safety and security of our guests very seriously. We are working closely with our internal teams and the proper authorities to gather details on what happened and will share an updated statement when we have confirmed all the facts."
First responders were alerted by a 9-1-1 call.
