Arrest Made In 2015 Cleveland Murder

Cleveland, Ohio – Peter J. Elliott, U.S. Marshal for the Northern District of Ohio, is pleased to announce the arrest of Andrew Watkins, age 22.  Watkins was wanted for aggravated murder by the Cleveland Police Department. 

In November, 2015, the body of Joshua Luckey was found buried in a shallow grave in the backyard of an abandoned house in the 11900 block of Iowa Ave. in Cleveland.  Luckey had been shot several times.  There had been no suspects in the crime until this past week when Watkins was identified.  The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force worked tirelessly to track Watkins and determined he was in the Atlanta, GA area.  Working with the United States Marshals Service Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force and the Atlanta Police Department, Watkins was located and was arrested last evening in the 1500 block of Olympian Circle in Atlanta, GA. 

Supervisory Deputy Brian Fitzgibbon stated, “This case is just another example of the capability of our fugitive task force and our unique ability to locate and arrest fugitives no matter where they run.  It was great work to arrest this fugitive in such a short time after he was identified.”
