US marshals arrest fugitive from Oakwood incident

Cleveland - A man accused of putting a gun to his sister's head, threatening to kill her, and then later trying to run down an Oakwood police officer, has been arrested by U.S. Marshals.

27-year-old Alphonso McPherson was taken into custody around 11:00AM Saturday by the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitives Task Force.

They found McPherson with a gunshot wound to the arm at a home in the 2100 block of Ambleside Drive.

U.S. Marshal Pete Elliott says McPherson apparently suffered the gunshot wound during his attempt to run down the officer and then flee early Friday morning.

He was taken to a local hospital for treatment.Elliott says McPherson was taken by surprise and was arrested without incident.
