ROCKY RIVER, OH -
- On Monday, 02/20/2018, at about 7:00 AM a multi-car accident was reported on Interstate 90. It was determined that a transfer case fell off a Dodge truck and was struck by three other vehicles. There were no injuries.
- On 02/20/2018 two Detroit Rd. businesses fell victim to the locksmith scam, where a person comes to a store and claims to work for a neighboring business and is locked out. The subject asks to borrow money for a locksmith with the promise of repaying it as soon as the locksmith gains entry, but they never return to repay the loan.
- On 02/20/2018 at about 5:30 PM police and paramedics responded to Westwood Town Center for a man down. The man was determined to have inhaled the contents of two cans of aerosol dusters. He was transported to hospital and charged with abusing harmful intoxicants. The next morning the same man was arrested for the same crime after being discovered passed out at a different store.
- On 02/23/2018 at about 7:05 PM a Gasser Blvd. resident reported the window a vehicle was shatttered. There was no indication how the window was broken, nothing was missing from inside.
- On 02/24/2018 at about 11:45 AM a caller reported the house she was watching on Idlewild Dr. had been burglarized overnight. Jewelry and cash were reported missing.
- On 02/25/2018 at about 7:00 PM police went to a Center Ridge Rd. retail store after receiving a complaint of a man in the store yelling, dropping things, and otherwise behaving oddly. The man was identified and determined to have arrest warrants. He was arrested and turned over to the police departments with the warrants. He was also told he was not welcome to return to the store.
