GOODYEAR, Ariz. -- Trevor Bauer pitched two scoreless innings in his Cactus League debut Sunday afternoon at Goodyear Ballpark, while Jason Kipnis homered in his first spring action as the Cleveland Indians and Cincinnati Reds played to a 2-2 tie.

Bauer, who already has a spot locked up in the Indians starting rotation along with Corey Kluber and Carlos Carrasco went two innings, struck out three and did not allow any hits. After his Cactus League debut, Bauer voiced his excitement for the 2018 season.

"I feel like I'm going to have a really good year. I feel like we're a good team, even though none of [the national media] think we're going to -- no one is talking about us, but we're confident in our team and it's going to be a fun year," Bauer said.

Prior to Greg Allen's ninth inning RBI triple with two outs, the Indians' lone run came from Kipnis.

The Indians are back in action Monday afternoon in Maryvale when they square off with the Milwaukee Brewers.
