Opioid Epidemic Discussed In Court

U.S. Drug Deaths Continue Rapid Rise

(Cleveland, OH)  --  Settlement talks are underway in a massive lawsuit filed against opioid drug companies.  Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine says attorneys for local and state governments met yesterday with pharmaceutical industry lawyers in Cleveland's federal court.  The first round of talks covered steps the drug makers and distributors can take to prevent more people from becoming addicts.  Future talks will cover the companies' share of the epidemic's financial costs.
