(Cleveland) - Seven teenage inmates are accused of taking part in a riot at the Cuyahoga County Juvenile Detention Center last week.
Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Michael O'Malley explains, the suspects are charged with aggravated rioting, inciting violence, disorderly conduct and vandalism.
The riot happened on January 8th, and the alleged offenders caused close to $200 thousand of damage to their housing unit. One suspect threatened to stab a swat officer with shards of glass.
O'Malley says the operations at the juvenile jail need to be reformed and security strengthened.
