(Cleveland) – There will be a parade in Cleveland on Saturday, January 6, for the wrong reasons.
Since the Browns went 0-16 on the season, organizer Chris McNeil says he’s going ahead with plans for the “Perfect Season” parade, which was originally planned for last season, but was canceled when the Browns went 1-15.
It will be a march around FirstEnergy Stadium, starting at noon.
McNeil says the money raised for the parade will go toward incidentals, such as security, and rental of portable toilets. The maker of pain reliever Excedrin has put up the bulk of the money and is now an official sponsor of the parade.
McNeil is quick to point out that the parade is not a celebration, but rather, to send a message to Browns management that fans are tired of the team’s performance.
Any Browns fan is invited to be in the parade, as long as they sign up on the parade’s website. Anyone is welcome to come and watch.
