(Cleveland) - Starting in the upcoming season, the Cleveland Indians will extend the current safety netting at Progressive Field to the far ends of each dugout.

In a statement from the team, Jim Folk, Indians VP of Ballpark Operations said "the netting now will extend from Section 164 down the third-base line to Section 140 down the first-base line."  Folk said the netting will be high-tech, to minimize the intrusion on the live game experience at Progressive Field.

The Indians have begun a communication process to alert all Indians Season Ticket Holders whose seats are affected by the expansion.
