(Euclid) - Euclid Police are preparing to defend themselves against a lawsuit claiming officers used excessive force. The federal civil rights suit filed yesterday claims two Euclid officers dragged a black driver from his car last year and slammed him to the ground before tasing him. Lamar Wright's attorneys say body camera video shows he followed the officer's' commands and got roughed up anyway. The lawsuit follows the firing of a Euclid officer for a violent, caught-on-camera arrest earlier this year.
