(Cuyahoga County) - Police have arrested an 18 year-old Parma Heights man in connection with a double stabbing that occurred last night at a residence located in the 10000 block of Moore Drive in Parma.
In custody is Joshua L. Harvey, age 18, his last known address was on Valley Forge Drive in Parma Heights.
Harvey has been charged with two counts of Attempted Murder, a felony of the first degree. He will appear for arraignment November 14 in Parma Municipal Court at 11:00am.
At approximately 9:23pm, Parma Police received a 911 call from a 17 year-old female reporting that someone was trying to kill her and her mother.
Officers responded to the residence and found an 18 year-old male in the driveway of the home with a cut on his right hand.
Officers entered the residence and said they found two female victims, ages 56 and 17, inside the home with multiple stab wounds. They determined that the 18 year-old in the driveway was the alleged offender in this incident.
The victims told police at the scene that the 18 year-old male forced his way into the home and attacked both females by beating them and stabbing them both.
The 18 year-old male is an ex-boyfriend of the 17 year-old victim.
Parma Fire paramedics responded to the scene and transported both female victims to MetroHealth Medical Center.
The 18 year-old suspect was also transported to Metro Hospital where he was treated and released for the wound to his hand, and later brought back to the Parma Jail.
Detectives and crime scene personnel responded to the scene last night. Both victims are currently listed in stable condition.
