CLEVELAND – By the time our first selection kicks off for Week 11 in the 3:30 pm ET time slot, there will already have been 24 games played in college football this week. Critical conference showdowns highlight this weekend as teams are jockeying for position to play for a league title or qualify for the College Football Playoff. “Picks With Nick” is continuing to make selections against the spread (for entertainment purposes only, of course) in both college and NFL football.

Following our first season, in which we nailed 54% of the games we selected against the spread (ATS), we are back at it again enjoying another winning season so far. In fact, here’s our numbers through ten weeks of college football and nine weeks of the NFL against the number for full transparency:

CFB: 26-24-2 (52%)

NFL: 23-15-1 (61%)

Total: 49-39-3 (56%)

Our picks are made against Las Vegas oddsmakers merely helping create football interactions on Facebook and Twitter, as well as online and on-air content for Newsradio WTAM 1100 and WTAM.com.

Similar to last football season, our goal is to win 53% of our picks against the spread. Las Vegas sports books, give us 11/10 odds or -110, so in order to break even in picking games against the spread (ATS) we must win 52.4% of the games we select. Winning 58% of picks ATS would place you among the most elite sports handicappers in the world. We’ll shoot for somewhere between 53% - 58% again this season.

We are again keeping our college and NFL selections separate, but we will update the results weekly with full transparency seeing how we stack up against the Las Vegas oddsmakers. We are coming off a winning first season in which we hit 54% ATS in college football and NFL combined in 2016.

“Picks With Nick” will also feature a radio segment weekly on Newsradio WTAM 1100 discussing our selections.

Below is our full slate of college football picks featuring five selections ATS for Week 11:

Arkansas v Auburn

Game: Georgia Bulldogs vs. Auburn Tigers

Where: Auburn, Alabama – Jordan-Hare Stadium

Kickoff: 3:30 pm ET

TV: CBS

Spread: Georgia -2.5

Nick’s Pick: Many college football fans have argued against Georgia being ranked No. 1 in the country over No. 2 Alabama. We actually agree with the College Football Playoff Committee in having the Bulldogs atop the rankings. Kirby Smart’s team has been impressive opening the season 9-0 and 6-0 in the SEC. However, going into Jordan-Hare Stadium is never easy and the Tigers have had this game circled for quite some time. Georgia won’t be ranked No. 1 in the country after this game. Nick’s Pick is Auburn +2.5.

Game: West Virginia Mountaineers vs. Kansas State Wildcats

Where: Manhattan, Kansas – Bill Snyder Family Stadium

Kickoff: 3:30 pm ET

TV: ESPN2

Spread: Kansas State -2.5

Nick’s Pick: The better team here is getting points and did we mention the fact that K-State is coming off a tough overtime win in Lubbock, Texas with a banged up quarterback? West Virginia is 4-2 in the Big 12 Conference and if they win on Saturday in Manhattan, they may just set themselves up to play in the first-ever Big 12 Conference Championship Game. Nick’s Pick is West Virginia +2.5.

Game: Notre Dame Fighting Irish vs. Miami Hurricanes

Where: Miami, Florida – Hard Rock Stadium

Kickoff: 8:00 pm ET

TV: ABC

Spread: Notre Dame -3.5

Nick’s Pick: This game will serve as an unofficial College Football Playoff elimination game when the Catholics and Convicts square off at beautiful Hard Rock Stadium. Mark Richt is in his second season as the Hurricanes head coach and he has done an incredible job bringing back “The U” program, while Brian Kelly has Notre Dame right in the thick of the playoff hunt. The Fighting Irish may be the better overall team, but Saturday night in primetime TV, the country will watch Miami Football return to national prominence. (Side note: If somehow Notre Dame does win, it won’t be by more than a field goal). Nick’s Pick is Miami +3.5.

Game: TCU Horned Frogs vs. Oklahoma Sooners

Where: Norman, Oklahoma – Memorial Stadium

Kickoff: 8:00 pm ET

TV: FOX

Spread: Oklahoma -6.5

Nick’s Pick: Whoever wins this game puts themselves in the driver’s seat to reach the Big 12 Conference Championship Game and holds onto an opportunity to still reach the College Football Playoff. Oklahoma may have the better overall offense, but TCU has the best defense in the conference. The Horned Frogs may not have the offensive firepower to win this game, but Gary Patterson’s team has enough talent to at least keep this game within a touchdown. Nick’s Pick is TCU +6.5.

Game: Oregon State Beavers vs. Arizona Wildcats

Where: Tucson, Arizona – Arizona Stadium

Kickoff: 10:00 pm ET

TV: ESPN2

Spread: Arizona -22

Nick’s Pick: This game probably isn’t on your radar, but it’s a textbook let-down game for Arizona after falling last week in a tight game against USC. Meanwhile, yes, the Beavers are only 1-8 on the season but in three-straight weeks they’ve lost close games to Stanford, Cal and Colorado. Oregon State ultimately will not slow down Khalil Tate and Rich Rod’s team is simply more talented. However, the Beavers play hard and should do just enough to keep this game closer than it should be. Nick’s Pick is Oregon State +22.
