(Columbus) - The Columbus Clippers will continue to be the AAA affiliate of the Cleveland Indians. The Indians and the Clippers have announced a two-year extension of their player development contract through the 2020 season.
Clippers President and GM Ken Schnacke says they're proud that 19 of the 25 Indians on this year's playoff roster came through Columbus, and that the Clippers are helping to develop the Cleveland Indians of the future.
This is the fourth extension of the player develpment contract between the Clippers and Indians, which began in 2009.
