Cleveland Cop Assaulted, Service Weapon Stolen

(Cleveland) - Police are looking for two men who assaulted an off-duty Cleveland Police officer as she was working a part-time security job.

The officer was working late Thursday night at the Taco Bell at 4110 Lee Road in the Lee-Miles neighborhood.  Police say the officer was escorting a customer to their car when she was approached by two men, who assaulted her, and took her service revolver.

The officer, who was in uniform at the time, was treated at MetroHealth Medical Center for facial injuries.

The two suspects are both black males, about 17-18 years old.  One was weaering a grey hoodie as a mask, light grey sweatpants, and black boots.  The other wore a dark hoodie, and dark sweatpants.  They ran off toward the west on foot.
