(Cleveland) - Students from 20 Catholic high schools in the Diocese of Cleveland participated in the Respect Life Rally on Public Square at noon today.
Among the speakers were Jon Dosen, a senior at Benedictine High who expressed his concern about abortion, and Central Catholic freshman Johntez Crawford who said his main life issue is racism.
Students also addressed the death penalty, euthanasia, suicide, racism, bullying, and homelessness, after attending a Respect Life Mass at St. John Cathedral.
Bishop Nelson Perez says he's proud of the students for having the courage to step forward and speak out in a public forum about the sanctity of human life.
