(STRONGSVILLE) - The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation is searching for clues after a Strongsville Middle School teacher was murdered in her home Monday night. In a press release, police said officers responded to 17784 Blazing Star Dr. around 8 p.m., where Melinda Pleskovic, 49, was found with stab wounds. Members of the Strongsville Fire Department arrived and treated the victim on scene and transported her to Southwest General Hospital where she died.
According to police, reports of break-ins in other areas of the neighborhood were not supported by records filed with the Strongsville Police Department. In the 911 call made to police, the victim's husband said people had been trying to break into the couple's home. No suspects have been identified.
