(Cleveland, OH) -- Cleveland Cavaliers guard Isaiah Thomas is progressing well with his right hip rehabilitation. The team announced they are hopeful he will be able to return to action by January. His status will be updated again after the start of the regular season. Thomas was acquired by the Cavs from the Boston Celtics in a blockbuster trade for Kyrie Irving last month. The 28-year-old averaged a career-high 28.9 points to go with 5.9 assists and 2.7 rebounds per game last season.
