Selections (for entertainment purposes only) for Ravens-Jaguars, Broncos-Bills and Browns-Colts included ATS

By: Nick Camino

CLEVELAND – Week 3 of the NFL season opened with the Los Angeles Rams holding off Brian Hoyer and the San Francisco 49ers 41-39 on Thursday Night Football. “Picks With Nick” returns this week after opening up 4-3 (57%) in NFL selections ATS (for entertainment purposes only, of course).

Through three weeks of selections “Picks With Nick” has gone 6-8-1 (43%) in college football and 4-3 (57%) in the NFL ATS for a total record of 10-11-1 (48%) against the Las Vegas sportsbooks.

Our picks are made against Las Vegas oddsmakers merely helping create football interactions on Facebook and Twitter, as well as online and on-air content for Newsradio WTAM 1100 and WTAM.com.

Similar to last football season, our goal is to win 53% of our picks against the spread. Las Vegas sports books, give us 11/10 odds or -110, so in order to break even in picking games against the spread (ATS) we must win 52.4% of the games we select. Winning 58% of picks ATS would place you among the most elite sports handicappers in the world. We’ll shoot for somewhere between 53% - 58% again this season.

We are again keeping our college and NFL selections separate, but we will update the results weekly with full transparency seeing how we stack up against the Las Vegas oddsmakers. We are coming off a winning first season in which we hit 54% ATS in college football and NFL combined in 2016.

“Picks With Nick” will also feature a radio segment weekly on Newsradio WTAM 1100 discussing our selections.

Below is our full slate of NFL picks featuring five selections ATS for Week 3:

Game: Baltimore Ravens vs. Jacksonville Jaguars

Where: Wembley, England – Wembley Stadium

Kickoff: 9:30 pm ET

TV: CBS/Yahoo! Sports

Spread: Ravens -3.5

Nick’s Pick: After a Week 1 upset over the Texans, the Jags were hit with a reality check getting crushed by the Titans at home 37-16 the following week. The Ravens are playing as good as any team in the NFL right now. Don’t over-analyze this pick, Baltimore should win by two scores. Nick’s Pick is Ravens -3.5.

Game: Denver Broncos vs. Buffalo Bills

Where: Buffalo, New York – New Era Field

Kickoff: 1:00 pm ET

TV: CBS

Spread: Broncos -3

Nick’s Pick: Everybody and their grandmother will probably side with Denver in this match up. In fact, reports out of Vegas are indicating this will be one of the most lopsided games of people taking the Broncos. With that in mind, let’s go the other way here. A home underdog always provides value, especially with it feeling like an 11:00 am kick-off for the visiting Broncos. Nick’s Pick will side with the Bills +3.

Game: Cleveland Browns vs. Indianapolis Colts

Where: Indianapolis, Indiana – Lucas Oil Stadium

Kickoff: 1:00 pm ET

TV: CBS

Spread: Browns -1.5

Nick’s Pick: Never should the Browns ever be road favorites. This line doesn’t even make sense. Sure, Andrew Luck is out…but, we’re talking about the Cleveland Browns here. Nick’s Pick is Colts +1.5.

Game: Cincinnati Bengals vs. Green Bay Packers

Where: Green Bay, Wisconsin – Lambeau Field

Kickoff: 4:25 pm ET

TV: CBS

Spread: Packers -9

Nick’s Pick: Yes, the Bengals have been horrible early into this season. And no, they probably won’t win this game. However, Cincinnati is a team desperate to win its first game, the Packers have their fair share of injuries right now and spotting any team nine points in the NFL (yes, even the Bengals) should provide some value. Nick’s Pick is Bengals +9.

Game: Oakland Raiders vs. Washington Redskins

Where: Landover, Maryland – TDECU Stadium

Kickoff: 8:30 pm ET

TV: NBC

Spread: Raiders -3

Nick’s Pick: The Raiders are really good. It wouldn’t shock anybody if they open the season 3-0. That said, the Redskins are always tough to beat at home and coming off their first victory, Kirk Cousins and Co. should be ready to go in this primetime TV spot. Nick’s Pick is Redskins +3.
