(Cuyahoga County) - On this 9/11 Monday, visitors are stop by the 9/11 Memorial outside the Lakewood fire station on Madison Avenue.
Fire Marshal Tim Dunphy was instrumental in the creation of the memorial, leading a community effort for its construction.
Dunphy and several of his fellow firefighters even drove to New York City to retrieve the two steel beams that were among the wreckage of the World Trade Center.
Dunphy says not a day goes by that visitors come to the memorial to reflect, or leave flowers and mementos.
