Parma barber helps Harvey victims

Mario's Barbershop

(Cuyahoga County) - A Parma barber is making a difference, after deciding to help of the people of Houston recover from Hurricane Harvey.

Mario Innocenzi, owner of Mario's Barbershop on a whim decided he was going to collect donations for the folks in Texas.

He started promoting it on Facebook, and it's been nuts!In two days, his campaign has gone viral with cars are lining up outside his shop dropping stuff off.

Mario says he's collected three Penske box trucks full of goods, and will leave for Houston on Saturday at 3pm.

Mario tells Newsradio WTAM 1100 that the response from Northeast Ohioans has been phenomenal, with even Cleveland Browns football legend Josh Cribbs stopping by to fill up an entire truck with goods on his own.

Mario says they have everything but feminine hygiene and household cleaning products, and people are welcome to come by with those before they leave on Saturday.

Mario's Barbershop is located in the Pleasant Valley Shopping Center, at Pleasant Valley & Broadview Road, right Between Acme & Big Lots.
