Euclid PD Violent Arrest Caught On Video

(EUCLID)- Police in Euclid are facing controversy after an incident was caught on video and posted to social media.

It happened just before 10:30 Saturday morning when an officer pulled 25-year-old Richard Hubbard III over on East 228th Street for "a moving/traffic violation."

Hubbard was ordered by officers to get out of his car and face away so he could be taken into custody, and a violent struggle ensued.

Lashaunda Malon recorded the incident and then posted the video to Facebook.

In it, officers can be seen wrestling Hubbard to the ground and punching him multiple times.

Before posting bond, Hubbard was given a medical examination at the Cuyahoga County Jail Euclid Annex and charged with driving under suspension and resisting arrest.

According to a media release by the Euclid Police Department, the incident was caught on the police dash-camera and the arresting officer has been placed on paid administrative leave, pending investigation.
