The Cleveland Indians have acquired relief pitcher Joe Smith in a trade with the Toronto Blue Jays.
The 33-year old pitched five seasons with the Indians from 2009-2013. The Cincinnati native received a World Series ring for his contributions with the Chicago Cubs last season. He has a 3.28 ERA and 51 strikeouts this season.
