Thousands of players on 244 different minor league rosters from a 40-round draft or international signing period are provided the opportunity to work their way through a farm system, having the ultimate goal of playing America’s Pastime on the biggest stage of them all.
About 10% of these Minor League players make it to the highest level, a startling percentage showing just how hard it is to develop into something special.
