(Cleveland) - This morning, there was a grand opening ribbon-cutting celebration for the new Margaritaville restaurant on the East Bank of Cleveland's Flats. T
here was a soft opening for the watering hole last week, but this was the real thing, with parrot heads lining up in their flip-flops to be the first to enter.
The Caribbean-themed restaurant has the only street-side outdoor bar in the Flats.
Manager Joe Jalsevac says they interviewed over 800 candidates, and hired 220 employees for Margaritaville, and may be in a position to bring more on board.
Margaritaville is open from 11am to midnight Sunday through Thursday and 11am to 1am Fridays and Saturdays.
Other restaurants opening in the Flats recently were Thirsty Dog Brewing, Dante’s Inferno, and Backyard Bocce.
