(Berea) - The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency issued a statement Saturday that Berea's drinking water is in compliance with state and federal lead levels.
Test results earlier this week detected lead that exceeded those levels from samples taken between June 2 and June 15.
Lead can cause serious health problems, especially for pregnant women and young children.
The city has agreed to reimburse residents for one independent test between now and July 30, and is referring citizens to its website for more information.
