(Cleveland) -- Coast Guard officials are reminding boaters about the importance of checking the weather before heading out onto Lake Erie. The reminder went out this past weekend after Coast Guard boats were called to rescue 19 people on boats that either capsized or took on water. A small craft advisory was in effect for strong winds and waves in excess of four feet high. There were no serious injuries reported.
