Cuyahoga River Fire Anniversary

(Cleveland)-It was 48 years ago today the Cuyahoga River caught fire in Cleveland and made headlines across the country.  The river's surface caught on fire near The Republic Steel Mill in 1969.  The burning river made Cleveland the butt of jokes.  It also prompted federal regulations and the formation of the Environmental Protection Agency.
